What is Rockit doing to ensure the health and safety of staff and customers in regards to COVID-19?

Rockit takes the health of its staff, members and guests very seriously and as such as implemented a full COVID Safe workplace plan based on Industry and State regulations and recommendations. For full details on all procedures and protections in place please see our 'Covid Safety Plan and Changes' page, or ask one of our friendly staff.

Do we need to book?

There's no need to book in if you are a group of less than 5 people, just rock up ready to get in there and climb!

Do we need to bring anything?

All you need to bring is some energy and a "give-it-a-shot" kinda attitude! We do have climbing shoes for hire or feel free to bring your own closed in shoes.

What do we wear?

All Participants must wear a shirt a covering the torso. Otherwise, any comfy clothing that you can move in - keep in mind, short shorts are generally not very comfy while wearing a harness. Bring some closed in shoes if you don't wish to hire our climbing shoes.

Are there any age limits?

We don't have any age limits for climbing, however you will need to be 13yrs+ in order to belay and boulder (in our bouldering gym).

How long do the safety inductions take? Do we have to redo them every time we visit?

Top Rope belay safety induction takes between 20 and 30 minutes however, staff will not leave your side until they are certain you are confident and safe. Boulder inductions take around 15 minutes.

The best bit about inductions is that once they have been done, you will not have to redo the full induction unless you wish to, although if it has been longer than six months since your last visit staff will have to run a quick refresher just to ensure you haven't forgotten anything!
