We are proud to provide training programs designed by our head coach, Duncan Brown. Duncan has been training elite athletes around Australia and worldwide and is also the Coaching Director for the Australian Climbing Team. With 20 years of climbing experience, Duncan tailor-makes our programs to get the kids learning the fundamental skills and techniques of rock climbing in a fun and energetic environment to ensure motivation to achieve their climbing goals.

Rockit Joeys is a fun and interactive way for young children aged
to get an introduction into the world of climbing. The classes cover basic rock climbing technique and problem solving skills using various games and practical activities. Parents have the opportunity of getting involved by belaying and assisting in one-on-one coaching.

Rockit Wallabies is designed for kids to learn the fundamentals of climbing while still having fun. Each week the Wallabies have new challenges and activities to teach them basic climbing skills.
This is a great way for children to build confidence, develop problem solving skills, practice communication and gain all round body fitness.
Students also have the opportunity to become proficient in belaying.

Rockit Roos is designed to build solid fundamental climbing skills, develop strength, and form strategies to problem solve and set goals.
All Rockit Roos students will have the opportunity to try out for climbing competitions where they will represent Rockit Climbing Gym.

Primarily designed to keep the kids having fun climbing! We will play games, run over techniques taught throughout the week and help the kids work on their project climbs.

ROCKIT CLIMBING TEAM
This is a session for Rockit's competition climbers to train and develop their climbing technique, increase strength and stamina and form the problem solving skills needed in competition. Following Duncan's programs, the team will be pushed to their limits in preparation for the intensity of competitions. Participants must be approved by coaching team.

The adult clinics are a technique lesson designed for adults at any level of climbing. The classes will cover everything from climbing fundamentals to training drills and problem solving strategies. Potential outcomes will include strength development, increased climbing efficiency and autonomous projecting skills.
This is not for first timers, we recommend learning the ropes and getting a feel for the wall before you drop into a lesson.
1 hr sessions.
LEAD CLIMBING AT ROCKIT
Our lead climbing lessons are designed for indoor climbing at Rockit for climbers 15yrs and older. This is not for first timers, we require becoming competent with our top rope belay system and having strong climbing ability (climbing grades 18+). Participants will learn how to set up and prepare for lead, how to lead climb and how to lead belay. An assessment at the end of the session will determine issue of lead license. If requirements are not met, lead license will not be issued - participants may be given an opportunity to re-test on a different day with no extra charge. Maximum 6 participants, minimum 2 participants per session.
