Your First Visit

First timers who have paid for a day pass (not a members guest pass or discounted entry) receive the next 2 weeks of free entry! This pass is for entry only and excludes gear hire. If you sign up for a membership during the 2 weeks, we will also remove the $20 joining fee for you!

For your first time,  you will need to fill out our waiver which can be done online now or in store when you arrive. Under 18's will need their permanent legal guardian to fill out their waiver. This waiver cannot be completed by anyone other than a parent unless they are considered a permanent legal guardian of the minor. All participants who are climbing and belaying will need a waiver completed for their first visit.

Once we have received the waiver, we will run you through our induction and teach you everything you need to know to have an awesome climb! If you wish to climb the majority of walls in our gym, be sure to have someone over 13yrs who can hold your ropes (belay).

Whenever you climb at Rockit, an instructor will be there to supervise and answer any questions you have. All our staff are highly trained and passionate climbers who are happy to help.

Answers to some questions you may have!

Do we need to book?

There's no need to book in if you are a group of less than 7 people, just rock up ready to start climbing!

Do we need to bring anything?

We have climbing shoes for hire or you can bring your own closed in shoes. Make sure you also bring some energy and a "give-it-a-shot" kinda attitude!

What do we wear?

All Participants must wear a shirt a covering the torso. Otherwise, any comfy clothing that you can move in - keep in mind, short shorts are generally not very comfy while wearing a harness. Bring some closed in shoes if you don't wish to hire our climbing shoes.

Are there any age limits?

We don't have any age limits for climbing, however you will need to be 13yrs+ in order to belay. We also have no age limits for bouldering, however kids under 13 yrs will need an adult supervisor.

How long do the safety inductions take? Do we have to redo them every time we visit?

Top Rope belay safety induction takes between 20 and 30 minutes however staff will not leave your side until they are certain you are confident and safe. Boulder inductions take around 10 minutes.

The best bit about inductions is that once they have been done, you will not have to redo the full induction unless you wish to, although if it has been longer than six months since your last visit staff will have to run a quick refresher just to ensure you haven't forgotten anything!
