Jono Giles
Head Setter
Jono first started climbing at Rockit more than 6 years ago, and has competed in multiple state and national competitions. While he no longer competes, he now focuses on route setting, including setting for lead and boulder state titles. Formerly a full time route setter, he has climbed and set all around the country in a variety of styles and facilities. Now he has returned to Rockit, Jono is a core member of our setting team and is excited to be taking on coaching as well, growing the sunshine coast climbing scene through the up and coming youth.​​
Angus Simpson
​
​​Angus has been climbing for 5 years and in that time has continuously blown everyone away. Competing at every level of competition, including representing Australia internationally and currently being a member of the Australian Open Lead team, Angus brings a wealth of competition knowledge to his students. On top of that, Angus also has broken outdoor grades of 31 and is a core coaching and setting team member here at Rockit.

Jacob Milligan
​
​​Jacob is a young, avid climber with a wide variety of experience climbing across Australia. From indoor climbing, to first ascent bouldering, to hard red point lead, Jacob hopes to instill his passion for the sport into those he coaches while discovering and developing where their interests lie within climbing’s many disciplines. Jacob is eager to see the progress of his student’s strength and technique while maintaining a commitment to having fun and enjoying the sport.

James Hurrey
​
​​James is a passionate climber who loves to have a laugh and cares greatly for education. He has climbed in gyms and at outdoor crags down the Eastern side of Australia and feels that his week is not complete unless he has been climbing most days. James begins his third year of a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2021. He has gained professional experience as an educator while teaching and learning during practicums. James is excited to help his students develop their technique, fitness as well as a passion for rock climbing.
